Wessex 2 won both games against Ashcombe Dorking 2 and SGTV Solent Ladies to move up the league board but Ashcombe beat Solent 3-2 to keep their hopes high of success in the league. The young Ashcombe team gave a good all round performance and showed promise for their junior national Championships next weekend.

Ashcombe Dorking 2 were 2-1 up when the game v New Forest had to stop as the hall was needed for the next booking on Sunday 29th January 2012. After seven and a half hours of play the close matches between Ashcombe, New Forest and Richmond caused the over run. One set between New Forest and Richmond lasted over 40 minutes. The game is being rescheduled for later in the year.

Victories over Wessex 2 and Richmond by Ashcombe Dorking 2 on Sunday 5th February showed the steady improvement the team has made this season. Isi Liebchen was named Player of the Match in both games for her outstanding play in defense. The team was reduced to just 6 players as injuries have taken their toll on the squad.

New Forest and Solent traveled to Dorking to play Ashcombe Dorking 2 on Sunday 4th December and the results proved how even the league is this season with each team finishing with one win and one loss from the weekend. New Forest won the first 2 sets before Ashcombe found their form, winning sets 3 and 4. The 5th set was close but New Forest eventually won 3-2. SGTV Solent then beat a tired New Forest 3-1 before Ashcombe raised their game to beat SGTV Solent 3-1. MVP of both Ashcombe games was Alex Standifird.
