Ashcombe junior boys have been training with Newbury in preparation for the 2nd round of the Under 16 National Championships. Jacob Obong, Harry Bird, Iain Taylor and Dan Smith were part of the successful team who beat Ernest Bevin 2 [2-0], Boswells 2 [2-0] and narrowly lost to Wessex [2-1]. The team will now go to the National Last 8 competition in Kettering on Sunday 27th February. They join the Under 16 and 18 Ashcombe girl players who are also through to last stages of the National Championships.
