New beach courts for Worthing?

A successfull bid has been put into Volleyball England for a £35,000 grant to fund a Sand volleyball court on existing tennis courts on Worthing sea front. The court will be part of the rejuvination plans for the area known as Worthing Active Zone and will include the new Aquarena swimming pools and outdoor water play area. Work on the new Aquarena is due to start in February 2011. Worthing Borough Council have fully backed the bid and the final applications and costings have now been submitted to Sport England and Volleyball England.
