National League Division 1
Ashcombe have had a team playing in in the National Volleyball League since 1977 and two teams since 1982.
Ashcombe last won the National League Division1 and K.O. Cup double in 2000 and after a year in Division 2 in 2005 have rebuilt the side with new young locally developed players. Any player of a suitable standard wishing to play Division 1 volleyball should contact Darren Ball or Freda Bussey.
Sponsors are being sought for the National League Division 1 team.

Loughborough Students 0 Ashcombe 3 Another 3-0 victory marks an ironic finish to Ashcombe Dorking's season. Winning their last 3 matches, the side is still destined for Division 2 but with such a successful end to their season the team is determined to bounce straight back to Division 1 next year. Becca Saunders was named player of the match against her old club. Coach Darren Ball is impressed with the improvement in the strength of character of the side and is looking forward to the Shield finals in 2 weeks time with an ever improving side. |

Sunday 6th April 2008 Ashcombe 3 Wessex Team Bath 0 Top placed Wessex Team Bath were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by an on form Ashcombe Dorking side in their penultimate game of the season. The succesful run has come too late to save Ashcombe from relegation from NVL Division 1 The final game of the season is against Loughborough on Saturday 12th April. |

Saturday 8th March 2008 Ashcombe Dorking 3 Loughborough Dolphins 1 A Shield final place in Bath on Saturday 26th April was at stake and Ashcombe were determined to reach the final. Although the team was not able to find their form from the previous week, they managed to fight as a team and gain a well deserved 3-1 win. |

Saturday 2nd February Ashcombe Dorking 3 v Cleobury 0 Without setters Diana Hassanova or Beth Lowney, Lora Ioannou stepped into the role and guided Ashcombe to a 3-0 Shield victory. Becca Saunders and Sarah Clinton were key blockers and spikers and passing by Sara Neale and Theresa Farley was key to the success. Susan Hoare and Mia Lowney defended and attacked with confidence giving an excellent all round performance. |

National League v Wolverhampton Sunday 27th January 2008 Wolverhampton were too strong for the young Ashcombe side and they lost 3-0 at home on Sunday 27th January. The team was without Jessie Forrester and Beth Lowney and were unable to cope with the powerful attacks by Wolverhampton. |

National League v Tameside and Leeds Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th January 2008 A small squad of only 7 players were able to make the journey to Manchester and Leeds but coach Darren Ball was rewarded with full commitment from the players. Both games were lost 2-3 |
